Golden Gate University School of Law is located in the heart of downtown San Francisco, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Our LLM programs have been ranked as #1 in California by the Recorder legal newspaper; LLM in Taxation is ranked #8 in the country by TaxTalent; our practical (hands-on) training is ranked in the top 20 in the country by National Jurist; and GGU’s student body is ranked #11 in diversity.

Combines advanced study of international and US environmental law with practical experience through our Environmental Law & Justice Clinic.

Provides students with an overall understanding of IP law, as well as specialized training in all aspects of IP including copyright, entertainment; sports; internet; software; patent; biotechnology; and unfair competition.

Offers in-depth coverage of specialized areas of international and comparative law, emphasizing legal, cultural, sociological and business activities of the Pacific Rim, the European Union, and other regions.

Consistently ranked in the top 10 in the country, it was #8 in 2014. The program has an outstanding curriculum and experienced faculty. GGU also is launching an LLM in Estate Planning, any increasingly in-demand specialty. The program is innovative and comprehensive.

Serves US and international law graduates. US students typically pursue a specialty by studying a specific topic in depth. Foreign-educated lawyers enroll to gain a basic understanding of US law or to prepare to take a bar examination.

Our full-time faculty are experienced teachers with strong practice, research, and academic credentials who are known for their accessibility.

GGU offers a flexible admissions process. Students start in any semester: fall, spring, or summer. We try to respond to applications within one week. Students may attend full or part time.
